摘要 PURPOSE:To avoid exposure of connecting terminal to the atmospheric condition and prevent corrosion thereof by making conductive the external circuit terminals of charger etc. through floating contacts. CONSTITUTION:The connecting terminals 3, 3 provided at the bottom of a lead battery case 1 obtained by molding plastic are accommodated within a hermetically sealed cabinet 4 integrated to the case 1, a hole provided at the area near the center of bottom plate 5 forming such cabinet 4 is closed by a flexible material 6 such as synthetic rubber etc., a through hole is also provided to the position opposing to said connecting terminals 3, 3 of such flexible material 6, and the floating contacts 7, 7 are fixed in such a manner as sealing such through hole. Therefore, when the terminals 8, 8 of charger are pressed to said floating contacts 7, 7 during the charging, said contacts 7, 7 is pressurizingly placed in contact with said connecting terminals 3, 3 and these become conductive. Accordingly, corrosion at the surface of floating contacts 7, 7 can be prevented only by preventing oxidation of surface through the rust-proof processing such as chromium plating.
