PURPOSE:To obtain a resistance attenuator having improved processing accuracy of a resistor with a small quantity of attenuation, by providing a fan-shaped contact part between a resistor and a center conductor. CONSTITUTION:It is possible to satisfy B>a for the contact length B between a resistor 12 of center conductors 10 and 11 and the width (a) of conductors 10 and 11 respectively. The error of attenuation quantity is minimum with the vertical size D/B=0.5 of the resistor. In this case, D can be increased, and at the same time (l) can also be increased in the horizontal size l/D of the resistor which sets the attenuation quantity. When the characteristic impedance of a strip line is regulated to 50OMEGA with use of the conductor 10, the characteristic impedance is set at about 100OMEGA for conduction lines 10a and 10b to an earth conductor. As a result, the fan-shaped contact part matches with the characteristic impedance 50OMEGA of a strip line. |
