Process for producing a three-dimensional filter from a thermoplastic nonwoven synthetic fibre web, and filter produced by this process

In the process, the three-dimensional hollow body is produced by a deformation, preferably deep drawing with heating. In contrast to the prior art, cutting to size (fabrication) and sewing, sealing or the like are thus dispensed with. The corresponding bag-shaped filter is produced in practice from the flat nonwoven web in one working step.
