PURPOSE:To make it possible to prevent the clogging of a nozzle, by a method wherein magnetic ink is supplied to the thin film forming gap of a magnet core forming a magnetic field and a non-colored liquid particle from a nozzle is passed through said ink thin film to be colored to perform printing. CONSTITUTION:The magnetic ink 13 in an ink tank 12 is supplied to a thin film forming gap 2 through the groove 5 of a magnet 1 by the capillary phenomenon of a fine wire 10 in a pipe 9 to form an ink thin film 2 by a magnetic field due to a coil. On the other hand, non-colored liquid particles 17 are injected from a nozzle 15 by an electrostrictive element 16 to be charged corresponding to an image signal by a charging electrode 18 and the charged liquid particles 17 deflected to a predetermined direction by a deflection electrode plate 19 are break and pass the ink thin film 14 to be colored to print an image on a printing medium 22. The density of coloration is adjusted by changing the intensity of a magnetic field and, because the liquid particles contain no colorant, the clogging of a nozzle, a filter or the like is not generated. |
