Melange yarn is prepared in the machine shown in figure by sliver mixing method; two strand of different coloured sliver (A,B) is transported through a couple of rubbing leather (3,3') on top rubber roller (1,2) and bottom rubber roller(1',2'); cohesive force between slivers transported simultaneously is obtained to formulate mixed roving yarn(5) by doubling and mixing effect resulted from rotating and reciprocating motion of rubbing leather; and melange yarn of mild and soft tone-in-tone is obtained from 5 by spinning.
