PURPOSE:To prevent the danger of the leak of a transfer high voltage to a gripper to obtain a high transfer efficiency stably, by not only controlling the transfer high voltage to a constant current but also providing a conductive member before the gripper in a transfer device using the gripper. CONSTITUTION:In a three-color multiple transfer system, transfer is performed stably with a high transfer efficiency when a transfer current if 30-40muA. Then, a constant current power source which controls the high voltage to a leak voltage or lower when a gripper 3 approaches the constant current power source is used as the power source of corona discharge. A connecting part 4 having a conductive surface is provided before the gripper 3 so that the high voltage power source is operated as the constant current power source. Therefore, transfer high voltage 8kV at a point (a) is lowered to 6kV at a point (c) automatically when the gripper 3 and the connecting part 4 approach a discharger 6, and the danger of leak is prevented. Because of the constant current, the transfer current flowed to a transfer material is stabilized, and a high transfer efficiency is always attained. |
