PURPOSE:To enable instantaneous measurement of flow rate according to time intervals at which an object to be detected passes by a method wherein a plurality of objects to be detected are arranged at an equal space along the length of a float moving at almost the same speed as a fluid in a cylinder and the time is measured each time they pass near a detection body provided near the center of the cylinder. CONSTITUTION:A fluid fed from a fluid pump 15 is consumed in a vaporizer float chamber 17 via ports B and Q of a direction control solenoid valve 14 passing through an inflow port 8 and an outflow port 9 of a cylinder 7 by way of ports P and A of the direction control solenoid valve 14. Here, a float 10 moves in the direction S at almost the same speed as the fluid and a signal is outputted from a photo transistor 11 each time a light shield band 10a passes by the position of small holes 6a and 6b facing each other. In the proximity of the point where a magnet 10c at the end face of the float 10 gets in contact with the outflow port 9, the magnet 10c works to turn ON a read switch 13' and an ON signal enters the direction control solenoid valve 14 with a flip flop circuit 18. The passage is switched and led to the vaporizer float chamber 17 via the ports P, B, 9, 8, A and Q. |
