PURPOSE:To make it possible to connect a thick mat securely, by pressing the contact surface in a preliminary pressing to make the thickness thin and uniform, and connecting it by supersonic waves or a heat hone. CONSTITUTION:When a positive or a negative electrode is connected to a porous mat-form body in a bag form, the contact surface of the porous mat body is pressed preliminarily by supersonic waves or a heat hone. By giving a preliminary pressing to the portion connected in a bag form before the connection, to make a thin and uniform thickness, and then connecting by using supersonic waves or a heat hone, a thick mat body can be connected securely as a whole, and the reliability of the battery is improved. Furthermore, in order to connect the contact surface more easily,the compression rate of the preliminary pressing is made more than 20%. |
