<p>PURPOSE:To shorten the vulcanization time of a weather strip and improve its sealing property, by using sponge rubber only for the pane lip seal coupling portions of the corner of the strip and performing the injection molding of the sponge rubber. CONSTITUTION:Each of extruded straight portions 2 comprises a welt 7 made of solid rubber, a panel lip 8 and a pane seal lip 9 made of sponge rubber. Each of corners 3 comprises pane seal lip coupling portions 13 made of sponge rubber and other portions and is manufactured by injection molding in a metal mold. Since the sponge rubber injection-molded for the corner is needed only for the coupling portions 13, the amount of the sponge rubber is small and its vulcanization time is short. Since the pane seal lips 9, 13, 10 coupled together have the sealing pressure made equal, the sealing property is improved.</p> |
