<p>Strip material, partic. strips of sheet metal, is continuously fed to a processing station, e.g. a punch or press, by an appts. which sucks the individual sheet strips from a stack and transfers these to feed mechanisms for automatic advance. One of the two pairs of feed rollers, which move at the same speed, is positioned at the machine approach and is controlled so that its rollers are disengaged after each respective strip enters the feed system of the processing station. The arrangement enables the strips to be fed rapidly and continuously to the machine without idling time, irrespective of length tolerances.</p> |
