PURPOSE:To enable high charging voltage (0.59V) to be obtained under high temperature storage at 80 deg.C by covering the surfaces of a positive electrode active material layer and a negative electrode active material layer except for their collector surfaces with solid electrolyte layers so as to shield both active material layers. CONSTITUTION:A secondary cell is formed by having a positive electrode active material layer 1 made by pressure forming of a mixture of CuxTiS2 powder and Cu<+> ion conductive solid electrolyte powder, a solid electrolyte layer 2 made by pressure forming of Cu<+> ion conductive solid electrolyte powder and a negative electrode active material layer 3 made by pressure forming of a mixture of inorganic compound powder consisting of metal copper Cu2S and Cu<+> ion conductive solid electrolyte powder, with the positive electrode active material layer 1 and the negative electrode active material layer 2 except for their collector surfaces, covered with the solid electrolyte 2 to shield both active material layers. Three pellets made as described above are stacked and pressed again as a whole. Then, collectors 5 and electrode leads 6 are bonded respectively to the positive and negative electrodes, and the entire body is covered with a thermosetting resin forming a cell casing 7 to obtain a cell. |
