PURPOSE:To measure a hydrogen ion concn. in body fluids such as serum, whole blood or the like, by a pH sensor obtained by a method wherein the surface of a conductor is coated with a polymer film derived from at least one kind of an aromatic compound selected from a group consisting of a nitrogen containing aromatic compound and a hydroxy aromatic compound and said polymer film is coated with an impurity ion impervious film. CONSTITUTION:The periphery of a rod shaped platinum group metal 11 is coated with an insulating layer 12 comprising polyolefin, Teflon or the like and the surface of the disc formed to the leading end of said metal 11 is fixedly coated with a predetermined polymer film 13 of which the surface is, in turn, coated with an ion impervious film 14. The polymer film 13 applied to the surface of the conductor disc 11, 16 comprises a polymer of a nitrogen-containing aromatic compound shown by formula (wherein Ar is an aromatic nucleus, R is a substituent, m is o or an integer of 1 or more, n is an integer of 1 or more and m+n does not exceed the available valency of Ar. n may be o when Ar is a nitrogen containing heterocyclic reing) and, as a coating method, an electrolytic polymerization method is favorable. The impurity ion impervious film is an anti-thrombolytic film and, for example, there are polycarbonate or segment polyurethane. The film thickness thereof is usually 0.1-10mum. |
