摘要 PURPOSE:To accelerate the response speed of the titled apparatus, by a method wherein the inlet and the outlet of a measuring chamber are electrically connected and the increment in the resistance between electrodes is prevented to reduce an overvoltage shock applied to a detecting electrode caused by air bubbles. CONSTITUTION:When a suction nozzle 21 is inserted into a base liquid 12 and a liquid sending pump 11 is operated, the base liquid 12 is discharged out of the system through the suction nozzle 21, a nozzle mover 14, a stabilizing electrode 6, a measuring chamber 7 and the liquid sending pump 11. During this time, the concn. of the objective component in the base liquid passing the measuring chamber 7 is detected by detecting electrodes 2, 3 and a reference electrode 4 to be recorded by a recorder 10 through lead wires 25-28, amplifiers 8, 9 and lead wires 29, 30. Subsequently, the liquid sending pump 11 is temporarily stopped by the signal from a controller 15 while the nozzle 21 is drawn up from the base liquid 12 to be moved to a specimen liquid 13 and the liquid sending pump 11 is operated directly before the nozzle 21 is inserted into the specimen liquid 13 and, after air is sucked, the nozzle 21 is inserted into the specimen liquid 13. Even if air bubbles are passed between the detecting electrodes 2, 3 and the reference electrode 4 in the measuring chamber 7 and the liquid flowline between both electrodes is cut off, because the detecting electrodes 2, 3 and the reference electrode 4 are electrically connected through the stabilizing electrodes 5, 6 and the lead wire 31, the change in the electric resistance of the liquid flowline in a measuring system becomes extremely small.
