The device is for laying a strip wound on a roller onto a base, the strip having a hot, soft adhesive layer on one side. The device is movably supported by a front drive roller (10) and a rear support wheel (11) fitted in a frame (1). The device incorporates a heater (8) for heating the strip prior to laying. - The strip runs from its roller (13), past the heater and downwards round the drive roller which is in drive connection with an electric motor (15). The motor, in turn, drives a variator (16). Between the winding roller and the heater is a cutter (21) which is operable as required to sever the strip.(1) |
