PURPOSE:To make a pile of sheets certainly deliverable piece by piece with a simple mechanism, by getting the rear end part of a sheet fed by a feed member in a state that its front end part is pressed down with a pressing member whereby having the sheet curved, and then delivering the curved sheet one by one upon releasing the press. CONSTITUTION:When a sheet 2 is discharged, first a separation roller 19 is rotated and a topmost sheet 2 contacting the separation roller 19 by dint of pressing force of each of springs 17 is only fed in the direction of discharge. At this time, since the front end part of the sheet 2 is held between a pressing member 20 and a sheet mounting block 18, the topmost sheet 2' is formed into being curved and thereby separated from the second sheet 2 downward. Next, a discharge roller 21 and each of feed rollers 23 and 23' are rotated respectively, while the pressing member 20 is withdrawn from the surface of the sheet 2 whereby the topmost sheet 2 alone is delivered. And at a point when the tip end of the delivered sheet 2 is detected by sensors 22 and 22', the separation roller 19 is stopped, and likewise at that point that the rear end part of the sheet 2 is detected, these rollers 21, 23 and 23' aforesaid are all stopped. |
