PURPOSE:To manufacture an anode plate having high discharge voltage by treating the surface of nickel porous sintered body with an acid and impregnating an anode active mass in it. CONSTITUTION:The surface of a nickel porous body obtained by sintering carbonyl nickel powder or its slurry in a hydrogen, nitrogen atmosphere is treated with an acid to remove active nickel compounds generated in sintering. Then cadmium active mass is impregnated and filled in the nickel porous body. By this process, decrease of discharge voltage of an anode plate caused by mixing of nickel to the cadmium active mass is prevented in a sealed type nickel cadmium storage battery. |
