<p>A laundry bleaching compsn. for use in domestic automatic washing machines comprises (a) 1-30 wt.% of the composition of a surfactant selectrd from anionic, nonionic and cationic classes and compatible mixtures thereof, (b) 1-60 wt.% of peroxygen bleaching compound of yielding hydrogen peroxide in an aqueous solution, and (c) 0.5-40 wt.% of a bleach activator having the formula R-C(=O)-L, [R= C5-18 alkyl L= leaving gp.; pKa= 6-13 !. The molar ratio of hydrogen peroxide yielded by (b) to bleach (c) is greater than 1.5. The compsn. is effective over wide temp. ranges of bleaching soln.</p> |
