PURPOSE:To raise the compression efficiency of a scroll compressor, by shaping the inner end portion of a revolving scroll vane to have an arcuate surface capable of coming into sliding contact with an arcuate surfce formed on the inside of a fixed scroll vane, and thereby eliminating the residual volume at the final stage of the compression stroke so that the compressed gas can be discharged completely. CONSTITUTION:The contours of a fixed scroll vane 33 and a revolving scroll vane 25 are obtained by connecting half circles drawn alternately around a first and a second centers spaced a distance (t)+(e) from each other, where (t) is the thickness of the vanes and (e) is the radius of revolution. That, is, the inner end portion of the fixed scroll vane 33 is formed by a half circle CD drawn around the first center A to have a radius equal to the vane thickness (t), and the inner point of the half circle CD is connected to an inner half circle DF having a radius (t)+(e) greater than the radius (e) of revolution. On the other hand, the inner end portion of the revolving scroll 25 is shaped to have an arcuate surface capable of coming into sliding contact with the inner arcuate surface DF of the fixed scroll vane 33. With such an arrangement, residual volume is eliminated at the final stage of the compression stroke, so that the compression efficiency is raised.
|
