PURPOSE:To contrive to improve the rate of fuel consumption at the time of idling, by advancing the ignition timing through detecting an idling time, in an engine ignition device utilizing a DC-DC converter. CONSTITUTION:The idling time of an engine is detected by an idle switch 21 interlocked with the opening of a throttle valve. A delay circuit 28 receives a pick-up signal from a pick-up 4, and feeds it to an ignitor unit 3 with a predetermined delay time. The delay circuit 28 is set into a non-operative condition when idling the engine, so that the ignition timing is advanced. Accordingly, the rate of fuel consumption at the time of idling can be improved. |
