PURPOSE:To atomize a fuel, by a method wherein air fed through an idle air passage is supplied into an air nozzle surrounding an idle nozzle, the air nozzle is protruded beyond the surface of a wall of an intake passage, and a fuel nozzle is protruded further beyond the end face of the air nozzle. CONSTITUTION:An idle mixture passage 8 is communicated to the fuel nozzle 10a provided in the center of an idle nozzle 10, an idle air passage 12 is communicated to the intake passage through the air nozzle 10b provided on the outside of the fuel nozzle 10a, the outlet port of the air nozzle 10b is protruded beyond the wall surface of the intake passage, and the fuel nozzle 10a is protruded further beyond the outlet port of the air nozzle 10b by an amount (t). At the outlet of the fuel nozzle 10a, the fuel is jetted into the center of the intake passage together with an air flow discharged from the air nozzle 10b surrounding the fuel nozzle 10a, whereby atomization of the fuel is accelerated. |
