PURPOSE:To allow a meandering motion of a belt to be responsively corrected with simple and inexpensive constitution, by providing wheels supporting a belt so as to be directed reversely to the meandering direction and to be rotated in the horizontal direction, and mechanically connecting means for sensing the meandering action of the belt to the wheels. CONSTITUTION:When a belt 8 meanders to the left side with respect to an advancing direction of the belt, for example, a left side roller 10 is pushed by a side edge of the meandering belt 8, and is moved by the amount of such a meandering. As a result, an arm 7 is simultaneously rotated by the same angle of rotation of the side roller 10 through a rod 12, a turnbuckle 13 and a rod 11, and accordingly, a rocking cylinder 4 for supporting a wheel, which cylinder being formed integrally with the arm 7, is simultaneously rotated around a support shaft 2 in the same direction. As a result, wheels 5 and 6 are directed reversely to the meandering direction of the belt 8 to correct an advancing direction of the belt 8. After correction of the advancing direction of the belt 8, a support arm 9 of the side roller 10 is returned to its original position by means of a force of a spring 15, and accordingly each of the wheels 5 and 6 is also returned to its original direction. |
