PURPOSE:To provide a latent heat-accumulating material having desired melting point and high transparency, free from supercooling phenomenon, and suitable for the accumulation of solar heat and electric power at night, by adding calcium hydroxide, etc. to an aqueous solution of industrial calcium chloride having a specific concentration. CONSTITUTION:The objective heat-accumulating material is obtained by adding (A) one or more compounds selected from calcium hydroxide, calcium oxide, magnesium hydroxide, calcium carbonate, calcium sulfate, clacium silicate and their derivatives, as the coagulant for the scum in the heat-accumulating material, to (B) an aqueous solution obtained by adding 52-65wt% of industrial calcium chloride to water. It is preferable to add (C) a nucleating agent selected from strontium oxide, strontium iodide (hexahydrate), etc. to the above mixture. |
