PURPOSE:To allow steel pipes or the like to be easily taken in and out of each of multi-step shelves, by arranging the multi-step shelves so as to independently draw out each shelf in the longitudinal direction, and supporting a front end of the shelf to be drawn out by means of a movable stand. CONSTITUTION:In the case that steel pipes 11 are received in a housing shelf 2 on the third step, for example, in an apparatus body 1 having many steps, at first a manually operable winch 24' is rotated to move a movable stand 3 along a guide rail 5 toward the body 1 by way of a wire. Then, a front end of the shelf 2 is engaged with the movable stand 3 by a suitable engagement means, and thereafter the manually operable winch 24' is rotated to leftwardly move the movable stand 3 and thereby to take the shelf 2 out of the body 1. After completion of taking-out of the shelf 2, the steel pipes 11 are placed on the shelf 2 by means of a crane or the like. Thereafter, the winch 24' is rotated again to rightwardly move the movable stand 3, and thereby to house the shelf 2 in the body 1. In a similar manner, the steel pipes 11 or the like are sequentially received in the shelf 2 of each step. |
