PURPOSE:To enable to adjust fuel injection timing automatically at the most switable timing, by a method wherein a correction time quantity for starting timing of fuel injection is obtained according to the speed of an engine and a servomechanism is driven by the correction time quantity. CONSTITUTION:A speed N of an engine is detected through an output signal RM of a rotary mark sensor 36 by a speed detecting treatment 100. Advance time data of injection timing corresponding to the speed N is made to generate by advance time data generating treatment 104. A servomechanism 42 is controlled through adding treatment 112 by making use of the advance time data of the injection timing and reference timing R. With this construction, fuel injection timing can be adjusted at the most suitable timing automatically.
