PURPOSE:To obtain an image pickup output with high resolution, by displacing a solid-state image pickup element in the horizontal direction by a specific pitch in a photoelectric converting picture element train and synthesizing the image pickup outputs after and before the displacement. CONSTITUTION:The solid-state image pickup element 1 is fixed on a support plate 2 and the support plate 2 is fixed at a free end of a plate spring 3. A piezoelectric element 4 is bonded at the back of the plate spring 3. The solid- state image pickup element is displaced by 1/2-pitch of picture element train horizontally with the deformation of the piezoelectric element with the state directed by the plate spring 3. The period of displacement of the solid-state image pickup element 1 is taken, e.g., as four fields, and a high voltage having different level at each two fields is impressed to the piezoelectric element 4, the picked-up outputs obtained at each two fields are synthesized and the picked-up output with high resolution is obtained at each 4 fields. |
