PURPOSE:To insert optical fibers, column by column, fixedly in a perforated plate which has a specific number of through holes longitudinally and laterally, and to manufacture a light guide efficiently by fixing the optical fibers which are as many as one column of holes or division unit column of holes of the perforated plate in the perforated plate so that their tips are made free. CONSTITUTION:The perforated plate 2 has a specific number of through holes 4 longitudinally and laterally at specific pitch intervals so that entrance parts are cone-shaped and the <=2mm. front end part of a sheet 5 of optical fibers which are as many as one column or division unit column of holes of the perforated plate 2 is regarded as a free part 9; and the other front end part 10 is fixed with resin, etc., and held by a clamper 8, which is coupled with the tip of the rod 17 of an upward/downward movable cylinder 7 fitted to a center body 6. The body 6 is supported by an arm 11 and a control motor 16 is operated to insert the free part 9 into through holes 4 at specific positions. Then, the sheet 5 is fixed temporarily and primarily and the clamping of the clamper 8 is released to return it to the original position for the insertion of a next column. Thus, the light guide is obtained efficiently in a short time. |
