PURPOSE:To rewrite and display a message statement freely, by providing a storage area wherein message contents to be displayed according to an information signal corresponding to the state of a device are stored and rewritable. CONSTITUTION:The key on a keyboard device 1 is operated to supply a corresponding coded signal to a control circuit 2, which generates execution instruction signal for various kinds of processing according to a control program written in a control RAM3. A display memory 5 having a storage area corresponding to the display screen of a CRT display device 4 is stored with characters, symbols, etc., to be displayed in the form of code signals. A control program for message information setting is loaded from a floppy disk FD12 into the RAM3. message information from the circuit 2 when set in an area of a data RAM9 where the message information is stored in the form of character codes is transferred to an FD12B and stored thereupon. The information in the RAM9 is stored in the memory 5 and displayed on the device 4. |
