PURPOSE:To enable to effectively brake an outer rotor type motor by pressing by a spring a brake shoe of ring shape on a rotary surface perpendicular to the axis of the rotor of the motor, energizing and attracting the brake shoe by a solenoid. CONSTITUTION:A metal bracket 1 has a stationary blade which is extended in a collar shape from the center of a cylinder 2, and a plurality of stator cores 4 secured to the outer peripheral surface of the cylinder 2. A pair of bearings 5, 6 are provided inside the cylinder 2 to rotatably support the shaft 7 of an outer rotor. A rotor yoke 9 is secured through a bush 8 to one end of the rotor shaft 7, and a multipolar rotor magnet 10 is secured to the inner periphery. A ring-shaped brake shoe 22 is secured to the supporting plate 23 of a magnetic unit, the cylindrical main surface 9a of the yoke 9 is coaxially mounted, and a brake shoe 22 is pressed by a spring 24 on the cylindrical main surface 9a. A solenoid 25 attracts the plate 23 upon energization, thereby releasing a braking. In this manner, effective braking is performed preferably for a magnetic disc. |
