PURPOSE:To preserve the power consumption of a motor by switching coolant from a cooling tower to chilled water from a refrigerator to cool the motor and providing a timer which controls the switching to the prescribed time delay in the starting or stopping operation of the motor. CONSTITUTION:A system in which cooling water cooled by a cooling tower 2 is stored in a water tank 1 and a compressor 5 and a motor 6 are cooled by a pump 3, is provided. An another system in which chilled water cooled by a refrigerator 13 is stored in a chilled water tank 9 and the motor 6 is cooled by a pump 10, is separately provided. A control unit 20 of a controller 19 detects the operating state of the compressor 5, outputs a signal in a delay for the prescribed period by a timer 21 and controls to open and to close the other of solenoid valves 14, 16 and 15, 17 by a switch 22. The motor 6 is cooled by the chilled water of the refrigerator 13 having large cooling effect for the prescribed period from the starting and stopping time of the compressor and by cooland of the tower 2 during the normal operation. In this manner, the operating time of the refrigerator 13 is shortened, the idle operation time of the motor 6 is shortened, thereby preserving the power consumption. |
