The subject of the present invention is a novel type of panel intended to form a preferably bearing structural wall of the timber-frame type. The panel according to the present invention is characterised essentially in that the said panel, consisting in a known manner of transverse and vertical uprights cross braced by any system, is closed by a vertical wall 5 on the exterior side 6 and an insulating material clad by a layer 9 of a protective coating, the mechanical connection between the said walls being provided by a material having adhesive characteristics, the modulus of elasticity of which is suitable for absorbing the differential deformations of the said walls. <IMAGE>
