PURPOSE:To obtain a proper rich mixture from a slow system mixture passage, by a method wherein, in a 2-stage, double-chambered carbureter, the negative pressure valve on a slow system air passage mounted to a first stage carbureter is controlled by the negative pressure of a second stage suction passage. CONSTITUTION:A carbureter consists of a first stage carbureter 10 and a second stage carbureter 12. A first stage slow system air passage 44 is provided with an air intake 72 in addition to an air intake 46. The air intake 72 is communicated with an air passage 44 through a negative pressure valve 74 and an air passage 76. A negative pressure chamber 84 is communicated with a negative pressure passage 108 through a pore 106, and the negative pressure passage 108 is communicated with a negative pressure intake 112 through a hose 110. The negative pressure intake 112 is open to the downstream side of a throttle valve 70 of a second suction passage 48. At the braking time of an engine, the slow system air passage 44 is communicated with only the air intake 46, and thereby a rich mixture is supplied through an outlet 42. |
