In such treatment heads, an applicator part for placing on the treatment surface consists of a diaphragm on both sides of which there are mounted ultrasonically conductive discs of thickness lambda /4 or a multiple thereof and which together form an oscillator support, the inner part of the oscillator support being coupled to an acoustic transducer for generating ultrasound. According to the invention, the following features are present in combination: a) the diaphragm (33) is rigidly joined to the oscillator support (30); b) there is mounted on the diaphragm (33) on the application side a disc (31) with lambda /4 or an odd multiple thereof, and towards the acoustic transducer (35) a disc (32) with lambda /4 or an odd multiple thereof, with the result that the diaphragm (33) is always situated in the oscillation node of the ultrasonic waves; c) the discs (31, 32) including the diaphragm (33) form a single shaped part (30) made from a uniform material.
