PURPOSE:To obtain a radial tire for motorcycle of which high speed performance is improved by such an arrangement wherein the tire is composed of a toroidal carcass formed between bead parts, a breaker formed outside the bead part and a cord reinforcing layer which overlaps partly with from the bead part to the breaker. CONSTITUTION:A carcass 5 composed of 2 plies is provided so that its bead core 6 is folded from inside to outside and ended at a bead part 4 of a sidewall part 3, and the outside folded end 5a is extended to a position higher than the inside folded end 5b and the height of those points shall be set to approx. 55-65% and approx. 70-100% of the height H of the position of the maximum width of the sidewall part respectively. Outside the part, a breaker 7 is arranged at an angle of approx. 10-40 deg. for the peripheral direction of the tire to cover the overall width of a tread 2. A cord reinforcing layer 8 is arranged so that it adjoins to the inside of the carcass folded ends 5a, 5b and overlaps partly with the end of the breaker 7 by a distance of about 1/4 of the tread width. A radial tire of which high speed performance is improved can be obtained. |
