摘要 PURPOSE:To improve fuel efficiency, by providing sensors to detect the temperature of cooling water and the angle of grade of the surface of a vehicle running road and by setting a fuel stop and a fuel restoration revolution speed according to the outputs of the said sensors to enlarge the region of fuel stop. CONSTITUTION:When an internal combustion engine 1 is working, a basic quantity of injected fuel which is determined on the basis of the outputs of a rotation sensor 10 and an air flow meter 8 is compensated by a microcomputer 2 according to the outputs of a warmup sensor 12 and an intake temperature sensor 5 so that the operation of a fuel injection valve 7 is controlled in accordance with the compensated quantity of injected fuel. At that time, the output of a grade sensor 4 which detects the angle of grade of road surface is entered into the computer 2 so that a fuel stop and a fuel restoration engine revolution speed determined by the temperature of cooling water are compensated according to the angle of grade. When the actual revolution speed is higher than the fuel stop revolution speed, a fuel stop signal is generated to stop the injection of fuel from the valve 7.
