PURPOSE:To make an electron beam irradiatable on a subject in a uniformly distributed manner, by installing each filament in a way of tilting them at the same angle to a direction at a right angle to their longitudinal direction, while disposing adjoining filaments so as to cause a part of respective ones to be overlapped in looking from the orthogonal direction, in case of a device irradiating curtain-form electron beams onto the subject. CONSTITUTION:Each of cathodes 10 is installed in the longitudinal direction of a vessel 6 while these cathodes 10 are installed in a way of tilting them at the same angle theta of 30 deg.<=theta<=60 deg. to a direction at a right angle to the said longitudinal direction, and further adjoining cathodes 10 are disposed in position so as to cause a part of respective ones to be overlapped by a portion of length l in the longitudinal direction of 0<=l<=L/3 in looking from the orthogonal direction, whereby electron beams from each cathode 10 inside some surface in parallel with the longitudinal direction can be uniformly irradiated onto the subject, as the subject shifts to the direction of the specified angle theta to each cathode 10, though intensity distribution is not necessarily uniformity. |
