PURPOSE:To prevent water leak of a component to be sealed at the time of attachment of the same by pressure, by so constituting that a cross-sectional shape of a seal lip to be provided on the outside of a welt is formed in a chevron-form state and a protrusion is formed on a connecting part on the backside of a loose end of the welt in a body. CONSTITUTION:Even if a step difference D is made on the surface where a playing end of a connecting part of a seal lip 6 of a weatherstrip 3 touches glass 7, the tip of a protrusion 8 touches a base part of the seal lip 6 immediately at the time of attachment of the glass 7 to the seal lip 6 by pressure, and the step difference D is absorbed by compressing a high part of the step difference D through a surface contact in succession. With this construction, the glass is sealed by all of the loose edge of each seal lip 6 reliably by keeping a gap C similary to a position where there is no step difference D. Water leak can be prevented completely in this manner. |
