摘要 PURPOSE:To judge the propagation stopping of unstable ductile ruture of even a high tension, large diameter steel pipe for a pipe line correctly, by specifying absorbed every per unit area in the direction perpendicular to the pipe axis based on a 2mm.V notch Charpy input test under the conditions the steel pipe is used. CONSTITUTION:A partially gas filled destruction test, by which the propagation of unstable ductile rupture can be reproduced, is performed in a relatively small scale. Thus the stopping ability of the unstable ductile rupture of a steel pipe in an actual pipe line can be judged. When absorbed energy C per unit area in the direction perpendicular to the pipe axis based on a 2mm.V notch Charpy impact test under the conditions the steel pipe is used satisfies the expression I , it is judged that the propagation of the unstable ductile rupture can be stopped in the steel pipe. In this method, the steel pipe, in which the propagation of the unstable ductile rupture can be stopped, can be stably supplied, without performing a large scale destruction test.
