METHOD FOR THE PREPARATION OF POLYMER DISPERSIONS AND UTILIZATION THEREOF

Method for the preparation of aqueous dispersions as well as the (co)polymerization of emulsions of vinyl halides and/or vinyl esters and optionally other monomers in the presence of emulsifiers. To stabilize the resultent dispersions, protection colloids are added at the beginning of the polymerization. The dispersions, having a high solid content, are characterized by low viscosities and low structural viscosity. They are appropriate for the preparation of powders which may be further dispersed.
