PURPOSE:To improve the efficiency of charging and aim at improvement of the output of an engine by providing each one cylinder with two intake valves of large and small diameters, and then setting the tube diameter and tube length of each intake pipe which is in linkage with each of the intake valves and the angle of opening of each intake valve so that these are in a specific relation to each other. CONSTITUTION:On the cylinder head 1 of each cylinder in an engine are provided two intake valves 2, 3 and one exhaust valve 4 respectively. One intake valve 2, located on the primary side, is formed to be of a small tube diameter, and its valve timing is set at a small opening, and then, it is connected through a thin and long intake pipe 5 to an intake chamber 7. While, a the other intake valve 3, located on the secondary side, is formed so that is has a tube diameter larger than that of said intake valve 2, and its valve timing is set at a large opening, and then, it is connected through an intake pipe 6, which is larger in its tube diameter and shorter in its tube length as compared with said intake pipe 5, to the intake chamber 7. In addition, the intake chamber 7 is connected by means of a throttle body 9 to an air cleaner 8. |
