PURPOSE:To prevent production of an excessive rich mixture and to prevent the reduction in an engine speed at an idling time, by feeding the air to the downstream side of a throttle valve at a time when the amount of the fuel fed is increased due to a change in orientation. CONSTITUTION:The fuel is controlled by a fuel valve engaging one end of an arm 9, of which the other end mates the center part of a membrane 3, to enter a pressure regulating chamber 4. A body 1 is provided with an air passage 13 which interconnects the upstream side of a choke valve 6 of a suction passage 2 and the downstream side of a throttle valve 8, and the air passage 13 is provided with an on-off valve 17 consisting of a valve seat 14, a spherical valve body 15, and a valve chamber 16. When a carbureter is inclined, the weight of a membrane 3 and further the tension are exerted over the fuel in the pressure regulating chamber 4, and a difference between the surface level of oil in the pressure regulating chamber 4 and the level of a main nozzle 12 causes increasing of the amount of the fuel fed. However, the valve body 15 is separated from the valve seat 14, and this prevents the production of an excessive rich mixture through the air supplied through the air passage 13. |
