The invention describes a process for suspension polymerisation of a vinyl monomer or vinyl monomers, wherein a vinyl monomer or a mixture of two or more different vinyl monomers is polymerised in suspension in the presence or absence of a rubber-like diene polymer with the use of a dispersant, comprising a combination of tricalcium phosphate and an anionic surfactant. The process is characterised in that the tricalcium phosphate prepared from calcium chloride is used in a quantity of 1.25 to 5 mol equivalents.
