Bore-hole seals which consist of an inflatable hollow body serve to seal off bore holes, in particular in underground mining and tunnelling, which are made in the rock for the stabilisation of rock strata and/or the extraction of gas. This hollow body is connected via a filling valve to a filling tube which expediently has two chambers and, on the opposite side, which faces the back of the bore hole after insertion into the same, has a pressure relief valve via which the adhesive or filling compound introduced is released into the bore hole when a certain positive pressure is reached and thus when the hollow body is sufficiently restrained against the wall of the bore hole. <IMAGE>
