发明名称 SURFACE CONFIGURATION OF ASSIST FUEL MADE OF CERAMIC PARTICLES
摘要 PURPOSE:To improve the flame holding effect to make it possible to conduct a stable surface combustion by providing a number of accurate depressions on the outer surface of an assist fuel for a stable surface combustion burner consisting of ceramic particles. CONSTITUTION:An assist fuel 1 is prepared by forming irregular polygonal ceramic particles into a topped cylindrical shape by use of an inorganic bonding agent. For the bonding agents, silicates and combinations thereof are used. A number of accurate depressions A are closely provided on the outer surface of the assist fuel. A fuel supply pipe 3 communicating with the inside of the assist fuel is provided in a support member 2 of the assist fuel. A mixed gas of a fuel gas and air uniformly forms excellent blue fire on the entire surface of the assist fuel 1. At the depressions the cooling effect becomes large by the main current of the mixed gas and the surface temperature is not so much raised depending upon a difference in the thickness of the assist fuel 1 while at the projections, the cooling effect due to the branch current of the mixed gas is small, and the surface of the assist fuel has such a high temperature as 800 deg.C or more similarly as the conventional case, and minute cracks are formed on the surface thereof. However, no cracks are formed at the depressions. No minute cracks develop up to the deep portion.
