PURPOSE:To obtain the titled photoreceptor superior in charging characteristics, sensitivity, and humidity resistance, by forming on a substrate a photoconductive layer contg. a silane coupling agent and a specified photoconductor powder dispersed into a binder. CONSTITUTION:In an electrophotographic receptor comprising a substrate and the photoconductive layer formed on the substrate and contg. the photoconductive powder dispersed into a binder, said powder is a phthalocyanine photoconductor powder, and the photoconductive layer contains a silane coupling agent having the shown formula in which R is alkyl, phenyl, a vinyl contg. group, epoxy contg. group, or amino contg. group; Y is alkyl or a hydrolyzable group; and X is a hydrolyzable group. Since the silane coupling agent reacts with said powder to couple with it, enhancing wettability of the powder and the binder, and its dispersibility, superior electrophotographic characteristics, and high humidity resistance and durability are exhibited, and further, superior image quality can be obtained, and reproducibility of manufacture is improved. |
