A new material comprising an acrylamide or methacrylamide monomer characterised by the following structural formula: <CHEM> wherein R1 and R2 are hydrogen or methyl; R3, R4, R5, R6 and R7 are lower alkyls; n is an integer ranging from 1 to 6 and X and Y are the same or different anions.
