Cyclopropane carboxylic acid esters of formula (I) (in which X1 is fluorine, chlorine or bromine) are made by reacting a cpd. of formula (II) with a cpd. of formula (III), (in which X is halogen) in presence of an acid acceptor. - They are of use for combatting animal and vegetable parasites of various types, esp. insects of the acarina order.
