PURPOSE:To form a developer layer with uniform thickness, by providing wire type sliding contact members which come into linear contact with a developing sleeve to overall length on the developer entry side of a magnetic material blade. CONSTITUTION:The wire type sliding contact members 7 which come into linear contact with the sleeve 1 nearly to overall length is provided on the developer entry side of the magnetic material blade 4. Wires having a 50-100mum diameter are bent in a channel shape and fitted as the members 7 to the blade 4 by spot welding. A developer carried by the arrow-directional rotation of the sleeve 1 is stirred while scraped off from the sleeve by the sliding contact members 7, and then tufted by lines of magnetic force generated by a magnetic pole N1 to be specified by the blade 4 into a uniform thin layer 5a. Consequently, deviation in the grain size distribution of the developer on the sleeve 1 and the sticking of fine powder are prevented to form the developer layer with uniform thickness stably. |
