<p>An apparatus of the type of a container provided in order to be used as a permanent or portable house structure and which comprises three house sections which may be inserted telescopically into one another, namely a principal central section 3 which has a lower support part 6, at least two opposite sides 8 and a roof 7 and which provides the principal support section of the house of the container type, and two lateral sections 4, 5 which each comprise a roof 11 and three lateral walls 12, 13 and are provided on opposite sides of the principal central section 3, with the result that the open side of a lateral section 4 is intended to close the principal central section 3 in the compressed state of the house of the container type, whilst the opposite lateral section 5 with its open side is intended to close both the principal central section 3 and the first-mentioned lateral section 4 in the compressed state of the house of the container type. The floor part 10, 10' of each lateral section 4, 5 is separate from the unit which includes the walls and the roof and is preferably mounted in an articulated manner in the lower support part 6 of the principal central section 3 in order to provide a level one-piece floor 6, 10, 10' in the already assembled state of the house of the container type, whilst said floor parts 10, 10' in the compressed state of the house of the container type are provided in order to be folded upwards and secured to the outer sides of the lateral sections 4, 5, thereby providing a compact house of the container type which has substantially smooth protective outer surfaces.
