<p>The double muff type coupling handles suspension of sand in water. The inserted pipe part (1), has a first groove (4) whilst the outer pipe part (2) has a second groove (5). Via recess (7) a coupling part pref. of polyalkene, pref. polyethylene rod is inserted in the opposed grooves (4 and 5). To obtain a coupling of high tensile strength extra grooves (5', 4') with pliable polyethylene may be included. Pipe part (2) has additionally a grooved chamber (10) of which the top part (11) is retained by ring (13). Inserted pipe part (1) has a chamfered entry edge cooperating with the end of the seal sleeve. The muff also has an internal shoulder stop (15) to limit penetration of pipe (1).</p> |
