A door assembly includes a rotary operating handle (7), running wheels (4), and a power transmission mechanism (10) which transmits the rotation of the handle to the running wheels. The assembly is also provided with a clamp device (20a) which couples the door (1) to a wall (19b) in response to an external operation when an access opening is closed. The door assembly is also provided with a locking device capable of locking the door against movement at any selected position within its movable range in response to an external operation. The door assembly also includes a bolt (31) (Figure 4, not shown) which can be operated to project out of the door to be fitted into the wall, and a controller (27) (Figure 4, not shown) which prevents the bolt from projecting from the door whenever the door assumes a movable condition. <IMAGE> |
